Kenny concert

What a fun time i had on Thursday night. My good friend Holly called and invited me to go with her to Kenny Chesney's concert. I like country but wish I would have known more of his songs. A fan had handed him a Utes baseball hat and at first he didn't seem to interested but when the lights went out for a minute between songs and then turned back on he was wearing the red hat and everyone cheered so loud. I would have to say he looks good looking in both hats.

This is Holly and I. She is probably my friend that I have known the longest and that I still keep in touch with. I met Holly on the first day of 7th grade and we made friends quick and were locker partners that year. We also have a great friend Brooke that we still see often, Brooke does our hair, and she has been with us since the beginning too. We got talking that night that we have known each other for 18 years! WOW, it doesn't seem like I am that old.

Such a fun concert. I have been to Barney in concert and Jessica Simpson, so this was only my 3rd concert but the Best!

I ran into my little sister there. She was with her friends but I asked her take this of Holly and me. Thanks again Holly for letting me be your date for the night.

Brayden's in England

Ok so I have no pictures for this because Curt had the camera with him at Youth Conference. Yesterday, July 18th I took Brayden to the airport and dropped him off to catch a plane to London, England to go do what he loves most.. play soccer. He has been raising money for about 9 months and yesterday was finally the big day. I walked him in and got his boarding pass and got his luggage checked then as he started being silly with his 14 buddies i said my good byes and left him in the hands of my two good friends. He was so excited that it was hard to be sad but as I walked off i shed a little tear. I wish that I would have went to experience it with him but that was alot of money that I would have rather used to take my whole family on a nice trip. He won't be alone, thats for sure. We have known most of these people since Brayden was 7 and i know he is in good hands. He will be playing soccer on the Manchester United soccer fields and playing games for one week then he will tour around London the last week. I had to get him some money in pounds to spend and he is so far away that it seems crazy that he is gone but I hope he remembers this for the rest of his life. I am now realizing how much he helped around here with the kids and he has been gone for only one day. He was really cute and left his brother and sister a little note saying they could have his room while he was gone and that he loved them. So cute. He will be missed but I know he will be having so much fun and that it wil fly by. I will post his pictures on here when he gets home.

This is the Place

On July 15th we took the cub scouts to This is the PLace, it was really fun there. Besides that Jake woke up at 4am throwing up that morning and I had to go without him. I always knew this place was across the street from the Hogle Zoo but had never been before. What a neat place and it really taught me and the kids about the pioneer times and how they lived back then. This is me washing the clothes and hanging them out to dry. I hate laundry now i could not imagine washing my childrens clothes like that, including there dirty diapers. They have a petting corral there that you can pet the bunnies, lambs and goats. They have ponnies you can ride but they just go in a little circle and our 8 years old boys thought that was not to cool. I had to hold this bunny for Madi because she still wants one.

The workers there all dressed up in the old clothes and they would talk about things that used to happen like they were actually taking place still. I thought it would be so fun to work there and be able to take my kids to work with me. These little girls were loving it there and they were just playing house in this kitchen and pretending to make me food.
One of the other chores you used to have to do besides laundry was hit your rugs real hard with a stick to get all the dirt out so the boys each took a turn doing this.

This was the little school house they have there, the boys each learned how to write there name with the different signs they used to use to make sounds. The school teacher told our boys that our school fee was due and we owed her one dollar and if we couldn't afford that then we could bring her some fruits and veggies are also allow her to come stay free in our homes.
It was such a cool place that I will definetly be going back to take Jake this time and also Madi. I think my kids will enjoy it.

Spoiled dog!

Today after church we just layed around and watched the kids play a new Wii game and this is my dogs resting by us. Ruby knows better then to get up on the furniture but Boozer thinks he can do what he wants. He just looks so relaxed i have a hard time telling him to get down. Boozer would never attempt this while Curt was at home. Our dogs are 2 and I really enjoy them. We have had 4 dogs since we have been married and these two are my favorite. They are brother and sister and you would never guess they came from the same mom and dad.

Fishing

Last week we went camping up to East Canyon. One day we decided it would be fun to go fishing. None of us are could say we are good fishermen but it was fun. Each of the kids caught at least one. Brayden actually caught several but we only had them keep one each. We released the rest of them thinking we were being nice to the poor lil fish, but there were two fish floating at the top of the water when we left that were not there when we arrived, oops!

Dad doing all the dirty work. No one really wanted to touch the fish to take it off the hook at first.

The kids really enjoyed our afternoon fishing, and I enjoyed watching and reading my book.

Madison and Journee

Madi had her friend Journee sleep over last night. They asked me if they could play dress up and I said sure. I thought they would be getting out Madison's dresses but this time they came out dressed up as "hip hop" Madi said. Madi taught Journee her best "Hip Hop" moves and they put on a little show for me, silly girls. What silly girls. They had so much fun.
Giving me the peace sign.

Brayden and Aunt Karly

The picture down a couple of my sister Karly was going to be the 1st picture and is explaining this post a little better but at the last minute I found these to add, so here you go Karly! Karly always has been such a good help with Brayden.

Tricia, Ally and Karly with there baby Brayden. He wasn't loved.

My cute lil sister says I don't post enough so I thought I would do one just for her. I love ya Kar and just wanted to say thanks for being so good to my kids. Her and her boyfriend were nice enough to invite Brayden along to Bear Lake with them last week and they had a great time. She also was a good sport about leaving her boyfriend behind and keeping me company since Curt had to work the 4th weekend, and drive up camping with me. When it was time to head back home on sunday, i returned from playing with the kids to her having taken down my tent and loaded up the car for us. I think it was mostly to hurry me along so she could get back to Nate faster but it was a HUGE help. Brayden and Karly driving up to Bear LAke.

The two of them switched hats and gave the camera a cute pose.

She has always been really cute with Brayden. I had Brayden when Karly was 6 and she has always had alot of fun with him.

Swimming

Over the fourth of July we went camping and found this swimming pool that was alot of fun. It was indoors so that was nice to not worry about sunscreen for the day. The slide was our favorite but I never got a picture of any of us going down it. This is my dad, Karly and Madi enjoying the lazy river.
Jake and Brayden loved doing tricks off the high dive, but only the shot of Jake turned out good.

My dad and step mom were with us all weekend and even enjoyed swimming with us.

Brayden was taking Madi away from me and she was actually having a fun time with him but pulled this funny face as he was dragging her away! She cracks me up!

I am an Aunt again!!

Yesterday July 7th my lilttle brother and his wife became proud parents to, Ellie Ann Kelson. She is a darling baby weighing in at 6lbs. 9 oz. On Mon night she went into Mckay Dee to deliver her so at about 9 pm me and my sisters, mom, and my dad along with Shalises's whole family we went and waited her delivery out in the waiting room because we were so anxous. After 7 hrs of waiting Ellie was born at 4:10 am We were so exhausted once she was born that we all took a quick peek at her and went home for some sleep. We went back later that evening to hold and kiss her. I am so happpy for them and they will just be the cutest parents.
Ellie Ann, what a sweet baby. I am sure she will be VERY loved... Not Spoiled!!

Scout Camp with Jake

So last week I was able to go with Jake to Camp Kiesel and we had such a fun time. He was able to shoot the rifle. He liked the bow and arrows too.

He did pretty good at the wrist rockets.

Here we are at the start of our day at the entrance to the camp.

We have the best Cub MAster,His name is Dave. He does such fun things with the boys.

Oakley parade

I missed being with my family in Riverdale this year but the small town parade was sure fun. They still know how to make fun floats like this one here. Madison made fast friends with this darling boy, Deagan. He let Madison just be a little mommy to him. She had so much fun following him around.
They do this funny thing where they have the kids come chase chickens and if you catch it, you can keep it or trade it in for a dollar. They also do a race and Madi earned a 50cent piece. My friends little girl was brave enough to ride a sheep. Brayden wasn't cool enough to go chase the cow for money. What a funny sight to watch all these kids chase around these animals.

Madi wanted me to take a picture of the pretty princesses, as she called them. The parade was full of horses but i think they were better to watch then the 50 firetrucks that parades around here have.

Good Ol' Smokey the Bear was even in this parade.

4th of July in Oakley

Curt had to work this whole weekend so my sister Karly and I packed up the kids and went to Oakley to spend some time with our dad. On sat night we went to the rodeo and had such a fun time. Jake really loved it this year. Madison and Aunt Karly at my grandpas property.
There is this game that we just call it the "washer" game that my kids love to play. Grandpa Ron made this game and the kids get a kick out of playing it up at his property.

Brayden giving his washer a kiss for good luck!

There is a river that runs at the end of the property and so we played in it. We hadn't planned on getting in so this is what the kids wore in the river. I don't have pictures of us in the water because i needed both hands to keep me up so the kids didn't pull me all the way in with them. All 3 of them went all the way under and it was freezing!
