Happy 13th Birthday Son!

Well I can't believe I am the mom of a teenager. How time flies, I delivered Brayden on Jan. 20th 1996 at 11:51 pm. He wasn't going to come easy, he was determined to go shoulder first but after a loooong day in the hospital he made his way into the world. What a great day and he has been just a great boy ever since.
This is him at about 9 months. He liked the soccer ball then and has one with him all the time to this day. Anyone that knows my nephew Jace then you will realize they look so much alike.

This is him today with Jake and Madison. He is a HUGE tease and likes to hear Jake cry sometimes but he really is a huge help and they adore and look up to their big brother alot.

He was about 4 here. We had alot of fun together even when he was young he would just go wherever I did.

I love you Brayden and you are the best son I could have ever asked for. I have enjoyed being your mom for the last 13 years and hope you enjoy hanging out with your old mom in 13 more. Thanks for always helping with your little brother and sister and being willing to help around the house. I enjoy watching you play soccer and basketball and i just think you are the best little athlete. You are good at whatever you try and your so smart in school. If only I could get you away from your cell phone! Ok so you can all tell that I am a very proud mom and so I am done but just want to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to my sister in law, brother in law and grandpa Earl, they also share a birthday with Brayden .
Also , on a different note, I want to write a little something about Curt's mom. I never had the chance to have her as a mother in law because she passed away 9 years ago today. Curt and I were engaged so she knew we would be married but passed away 2 months before we were married. She was a wonderful lady and I know that my kids would have LOVED there grandma Maureen. She was a wonderful mom to Curt and I am thankful that she raised such an awesome man. I wish I had the chance to get to know her better and have her in our lifes.

Happy Birthday Dad!

So I don't have any pictures of my dads special day but my sister does if you go to her blog, she is the DanceFive, but anyways even without pictures I wanted my dad to know how much i love him! I have the best daddy ever. I look forward to his daily phone calls just to check up on me. My dad is a stud and has had many jobs over the years just to make ends meet for his family. He is a jokester and loves to be with his grandkids and kids, mostly his dog children lol. I always know that he is just a phone call away and would do anything for me. He has taught my children that ice cream and chocolate build muscles and they just adore their grandpa.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!

Snowboarding

Well I have never been able to ski but Brayden learned at age 5 so he enjoys going. Last year at the end of the season he tried Snowboarding and loved it! So the other day he was invited to go with a buddy. Since I never have seen him do it I had him dress up in his gear, to make sure he had everything and was going to stay warm, and go outside for me for a picture.
He was a good sport and decided to see if he could move arond on the board in the front yard.

He fell down but was able to get right back up. He said he had a great time up there, so thanks to everyone that has taken him over the years so he can enjoy it cause I will not be going.

My star student

Jake was picked as the star student of the week. So we did up a poster of all about him. He was able to take treats to his class and was asked to bring something to school that he could "Show and Teach" so of course, Jake asked his dad to come to school and Teach about his job. So Curt went in uniform and taught the kids how to use all his equipment on his belt. Jake is sure proud of his dad and wants to be like him in every way!

Christmas Party

Jake and cousin Jace. This baby is not loved at all. LOl
My silly husband, why do they have to pull faces for every picture? Brayden just loves Curt and is usually anywhere Curt is. They have alot of fun together and I am so thankful everyday that I found Curt and that he took me and Brayden as a package deal. He has ALWAYS loved Bray like his own and thay make me so happy when I watch them together. They are so much alike and are so silly with each other.

My cute daddy with my cute lil sis.

This is my brother and his darling wife. She showed up to the party in her cute santa shorts. I loved them. These 2 are going to make me an aunt in about 6 months and I can't wait!!

While we were all together we got this picture taken with my dad. I have the 2 best sisters i could ask for and just as great of a brother. They live so close to me and they would all do anything for me. I love you guys!!

East Canyon

Curt's dad and step mom had invited us up to their condo a couple of days before christmas, so of course we went. We don't usually pass up a chance to get away with the kids. We did go up to sled but I didn't take my camera over to the hill so all i got were pictures of us playing grandpa's Wii.It was nice and warm inside so thats were we mostly stayed. Madison had a terrible cough while up there so it was better for her inside. We took her to the Dr. when we came home after the weekend to find out that she had " walking pnemonia" What a great mom I am. This is my nephew Trason. Curt's sister and brother each came up for a day while we were there. My kids love when they get to hang out with there cousins.
Brayden was being to cool for the camera so he just bowled from sitting down. I am glad that he still enjoys getting away with the family and isn't too cool for us completly yet!

Madi was really getting into it.

Even Curt got a turn at the game.

Her is Jake, I think he was able to get 6 strikes in a row that night. At the end of the night he said his arm was a little sore. Thanks Ben and Jill for inviting us up. We had such a great time and you guys are always so good to us. Love Ya!

7 kids! WOW!

My good friend, Shannon asked me to watch her kids last week so of course I wanted them. They are the cutest kids and we always have fun but 7 kids all on my own, scary. I look up to all you moms that do this everyday. I didn't have to get them ready to leave the house or do baths or bedtimes or any of that hard stuff, all I had to was feed them all and play, but man 7 kids is exhausting. They all want something different but all at the same time. We made sugar cookies and then i let them frost them. Here is Jake and his friend Dante.
Here is the 7 of them. Luckily i had Brayden home cuz he was alot of help. This was them during dinner.

Look how cute these girls are. For 4 hrs they just giggled and laughed at each other. Madison loves to have other girls around in the house. Especially younger ones, cause we all know how Madi likes to be bossy and be a little mom to others.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So I had my family over for a little New Years Eve party and we had so much fun. I love these guys so much and we all have so much fun when we are together. Between Christmas, my birthday and new years we have seen each other almost everyday for 5 days and can never get sick of each other. So in this picture you can get an idea of how much Madison loves her baby cousin Jace. She is always up in his face like that giving kisses or trying to steal him away from his mommy.
Santa brought the kids a Wii this year for christmas so last night it was used ALOT. This is Madison bowling and she edoes great on this. C.J. you will have to come over again for a re match cause you got worked both times. Ha ha

Jake and Grandpa Gregg always seem to make each other laugh. We just sat around and ate and ate some more. We had so much food there. We played a game called "Boxers or Briefs" which was really fun and had us all laughing pretty hard.

This picture is kinda funny of Jake and my little bro, C.J. I have a basketball hoop hooked to the back of a door in my hallway and Jake talked Uncle C.J. and Dustin into a game of ball right there. Ball is usually not allowed in that room but hey.. it was a party right?! Look at there faces, it was so intense of a game, i guess. Dustin and Jake played a game that went to the countdown of the new year so they played up til the last second and that was the game buzzer. Jake says he won.

Me and my sister, Kaycee let the kids grab some pots and pans and go outside and ring in the New year. I am sure my neighbors loved that. Thanks to all of you that wanted to spend the New Year with me, I love you guys and sorry I didn't get a picture of you on her dad. Happy Anniversary to my dad and his wonderful wife. Love you both.
