Happy Birthday to me

Can I just say I have the best family and friends! I slept in til 11 yesterday and I woke up to having French toast and sausage being made for me, then we went to church and Brayden spoke in sacrament which he did such a great job. Then after church my great friend Sheila had my family over for a wonderful dinner. After dinner we came back to my house where my family was waiting for me to have cake and icecream. I have such a great family and I love hanging out with them as often as we do. I guess we all know how old I am? I really am having a hard time each year after 30. I feel like I am so old.WOW how time and the years just fly by!

The kids enjoying all the yummy goodies.

Christmas parties

I was terrible at taking pictures this week. I had my video camera out so I forgot about the camera. We had my dad and step mom and my siblings over on Christmas Eve day for a brunch and to exchange gifts and just celebrate Christmas together. Then that night we had our Annual Jones Christmas Eve party at Alleson's. Santa always stops by for a visit and brings a present to the kids. Then on Christmas day we spent the morning visiting with Curt's dad and step mom then at 1:00 we headed over to celebrate Christmas with my grandparents at my uncles home. After that we went to my moms to exchange gifts with her and Gregg. What a fun holiday, lots and lots of family to spend time with and everyone was spoiled. The Kelson Christmas party that was held on the 19th of Dec.

Jake and Grandma Ronda

Braydens broken arm

On Dec. 18th Brayden talked me into letting him use his Christmas present early. I had rented him a snowboard for the season and his dad had bought a season ski pass. Brayden really wanted to use it on Friday because he wanted to go snowboard with Skyler before Skyler left out of town for the holiday break. Well he was at Wolf Mtn for about three hrs before he took a bad fall and came down and broke the bone right above his wrist, on his right arm. With all the sports Brayden has played I guess I should be grateful he has not broke something before now. I got my money back on the snowboard and bought different gifts for christmas and Wolf Mtn was kind enough to say that the pass can be used for next year instead. I also had to get my $50 back that I had just paid for him to play basketball. We will have alot less to do in our lifes for the next little bit while he recovers. This is the soft cast they put him in for a few days while they waited for the swelling to go down. He will have this green cast on for a total of 2 weeks then they will put a shorter one on for another 3 weeks.

Proud wife!

Ok so this is old news and all my Face book friends already know this BUT... Curt was given the award for "Officer of the Year" at his Christmas work party this year. I am so proud of him. He had no idea that he would be getting this award and the surprised look on his face when they called his name was priceless. This was a picture I took of him as we were leaving the party. Curt always works so hard to support our family and really loves his job so I was so excited for him that they acknowledged his hard work.

Madi's gymnastics recital

Madi loved her flowers so much that Aunt Kaycee bought her for doing so well. That night I got home late because we had Curt's work party after so when I went to go check on her ,this is what I saw. She had actually tucked her flowers into bed with her. What a funny girl.
On Dec. 14th Madi and her friend Marina had their recital. They did such a good job and have really learned alot in the past couple months. This is MAdi on the tramp. Madi on the balance beam.

Kaycee and her kids came to watch and so did my dad and Ronda but Kaycee bought these flowers for the girls. They loved the flowers and we were so proud of them.

Christmas crafts

Jake had to decorate a gingerbread man for school so we decided to let my nieces and Madi participate in the fun. They used puff paint, buttons, and markers. They had a good time. Madi and Meg probably used up a whole bottle of puff paint between the two of them but theres turned out adorable. I think they took at least 24 hrs to dry though.

Chick Fil A

Ok so I think it was about 2 weeks ago, Curt came home at 3:30 in the morning from work and told me he was changing and going back to Chick Fil A. What?? It's 3:30 am. He explained that the new store in Riverdale was having there grand opening that morning at 6 am and that the first 100 people there received 52 FREE combo meal coupons. When he had last checked before coming home they were only at 72 people. So I decided to get up with him, leaving the kids sleeping with Brayden, and going to sit in the cold for about an hour and a half to one of the 100 people. It wasn't to cold because they had heaters around the property and lots of hot chocolate for us. It was too early to remember my camera but when we got home i took these few shots. They made us wear these silly hats and shirts over our layers of clothes, before we entered inside the store for our coupons. Here is Curt with our 104 Free coupons for a combo meal. We probably have used and shared about 30 so far. It was very spontanous and fun for me and Curt to do that together!

P.J. and movie night

On Sunday night I had my siblings and parents over to watch a christmas movie, Elf, and come in there jammies. Any one that knows my step dad knows that he is so shy but he even showed up in p.j.'s! He thought it was a wierd idea but he decided if he was going to participate he was going all out. HE had Curt crying because it was so funny. He went to Walmart and picked out these 2XL womens jammies and wore them. They were so small on him but soooo funny. What a good sport This is a shot of half of us that were there. We squeezed 19 of us in the room, even though 4 of the men kept sneaking downstairs to check on the football games.

We decided that everyone would bring a treat to share during the movie well i thought popcorn would be the #1 choice so i decided to make some BBQ wieners in the crockpot, my mom brought M&M"S and lots of small chocolate treats but EVERYONE else brought cake. What? Cake wouldn't be something i would think of to take to a movie but both my sisters, my sis in law and my step mom all brought either cup cakes or a cake. That was so funny I guess they all thought cake sounded delicious.

Happy 50th birthday to my mom

This proves how bad I am at keeping up with things but anyways... On Nov 6th my mom turned 50 so me and my siblings decided to through my mom a surprise party. Never again will I want to do that, it turned out good and it seems to have been a surprise but I don't know, and wow was it stressful and my sister Kaycee did most of the work. This is a 4 generation picture we took that night. My "bonus" dad and his girls along with Lucas
Some of the decorations we had around, cute pictures of my mommy when she was growing up.

My cute grandma and grandpa B, and my mom with one of her brothers and her sister

My cute grandma with 3 of her 4 kids. Lets not talk about the missing brother, that was some of the drama that happened that night, ( don't you hate it when invitations don't make it to where they were sent on time)

My mom with her " over the hill" button that we made her wear. I love you mom and hope you had a wonderful birthday even though you made us promise " no parties"
